I made this little linen bag and decorated the edge with some of my crochet-work, and included another 3 pieces of crochet in a smaller size. The bag is resting on an old metal trivet along with 3 tiny books and a sparkly blue and white pin. All are thrift store finds, including the linen for the little bag.

Wood Carving with a Yellow Flower
This wooden plaque is another of my favorite thrift store finds. I found it in a box of old picture frames. The carved leaves look like trees and what I think are owls, on the outside edge, have an upside down heart-shaped beak. Sometimes those owls look like butterflies, to me. The center is carved in a lovely honeycomb pattern. I use this plaque all the time as a base for teapots, vases of flowers, or pretty bowls. On the back is a stampmark "INDIA". A yellow flower I crocheted adds some color.

Spring Is Here
Spring is here... Birds chatter away outside my window, streaky clouds stretch lazily across the blue sky, and all around, flowers are starting to bloom...

(Crochet) Chain Reaction
I'm on a crochet spree! Here is a lovely chain of crochet flowers, flowing out of an old silver plate and down to a cute little heart jewelry box. The heart is filled with pearls -- faux pearls, of course! How I wish they were real...
